بدأت بالفضول. في يوم دخل والدي البيت بكراتين كبيرة، شمّر كُمّه، وركّب أمامي شيئًا غريبًا: شاشة صغيرة تشبه التلفزيون وتحتها صندوق كبير. طلع كمبيوتر. صفحة خلف صفحة، وخيار يفتح خيارًا. من ذلك اليوم لقيت شغفي.
ما درست هندسة حاسب. تعلّمت البرمجة بنفسي، ومن وقتها وأنا أوظّف التقنية لتخدم الناس وتسهّل حياتهم. بنيت أكثر من شركة ناشئة: تيك زيلا، وتاب مي، وكلم أكرم، وفندكس، ثم وتير. تغيّر كل شيء بينها، ودوري بقي واحدًا: أبني التقنية التي تخدم المشروع.
دراستي قانون: بكالوريوس من جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز وأنا أشتغل في السوق بنفس الوقت، ثم ماجستير في القانون الرقمي. فصرت أشوف التقنية والقانون والحياة خيطًا واحدًا. اليوم أبني بنفس فضول الطفل الأول، ومعه خمسة عشر عامًا من البناء.
It started with curiosity. One day my father came home carrying big boxes, rolled up his sleeves, and assembled something strange in front of me: a small screen that looked like a TV, with a big box underneath. It turned out to be a computer. Page after page, and every choice opened another choice. That day I found what I love.
I never studied computer engineering. I taught myself to code, and since then I've been putting technology to work for people, to make their lives easier. I've built more than one startup: Techzilla, Tapme, Klm Akram, Vendx, then Wateer. Everything changed between them; my role stayed the same: build the technology that serves the venture.
My degrees are in law: a bachelor's from King Abdulaziz University, earned while working in the market at the same time, then a master's in digital law. Since then I see technology, law, and life as one thread. Today I build with the same curiosity as that first kid, plus fifteen years of building.
